Ride 2006/2007

January 4
The manager of our last stop, Paul, called ahead to Panama and got us set-up with his recommendation here in Panama at the Hotel Executive. He made arrangements for us to get sheltered parking downstairs again. Once we left David, we enjoyed great roads and scenery along the way with few exceptions for some road construction areas. It was an easy ride today. We got in-town soon enough to allow me to get lost a few times before finding a "giving" soul to lead us to our Hotel. Panama reminds me a lot of Manhatten without the traffic rules. It is a much bigger city than I expected and it is heavy in traffic 24 hours a day. We talked briefly to several cargo companies at the airport with nothing exciting to report. Most of them are not even shipping this week and some of them aren't even shipping until February. We're going to the airport in the morning to see what we can work out. They did, however, speak English.

This kind gentleman in front of me finally saved me. He rode up to admire the bikes and I put him to work. Thanks!
