Ride 2006/2007

January 23
Sixty-one degrees was the day's high as I left this morning. It was down to 50 before I stopped for the night in the middle of nowhere at a roadhouse. I kept thinking the rain would subside just over the next hill, but it never happened. I did see it getting lighter a few times and it gave me hope of drying out. From an opposite viewpoint, as a kid, when I was plowing the fields, I could spot a cloud off in the distance and wish-it my direction. I would watch it creep over the long hood of the tractor, then hope and wait for a drop to hit the hood. I would then have a chance at doing something else for the day. Well....I couldn't wish hard enough today to make it stop raining. Additionally, I couldn't take many pictures. I'm still making progress though.
