Ride 2006/2007

December 26, 2006
The day's ride started out at 29 degrees on the way to Alice to replace my broken camera, however the wind wasn't blowing. The rest of the day was very nice as the temps rose to 72 as the day went on. The border crossing was fairly smooth and educational. I hope the future crossings are all that simple. We made a brief stop at a roadside restaurant for lunch, but kept a steady pace other than that. Everything went smooth, but slow, until we got to Tampico for the night's stay. We were lost for almost two hours looking for the hotel. Tom Sayer had advised me that the road, and it's hazards would be my biggest concern and Tom was right.
