Friday
1. Departure point in
Forney:
Alfredo's Steakhouse (Forney Cafe on MapSource) - SE corner of FM740 and US 80
- on south service road. They open at 7:00 AM for breakfast. We'll depart at
8:30 AM.
2. Gas stop in Palestine followed by Lunch at Ryan's.
3. Gas stop in Nacogdoches.
4. Arrive Natchitoches
5. Friday Night Dinner (6:30 departure from Hotel) at Crawfish Hole. Trolley Service Friday Night from Quality Inn to Crawfish Hole
Saturday
We are trying a new Saturday ride destination this year. Those who would
prefer to ride their own route, visit plantations, etc., are welcome
to do their own thing.
- Mark Jensen, Bo Griffin, Bobby Fox, Herman van Beek, Leonard & Liz Burton, and Bud Eastburn will be leading a ride to Fat Mama's Tamales in Natchez, MS. along the Mississippi river to experience the legendary tamales of Mississippi. Fat Mama's Tamales is a must see destination when traveling through Natchez.
- After lunch we will be taking an alternative route back to Natchitoches through the Kisatchie National Forest after making a quick loop through historic Natchez.
- Freshen up at the motel and catch the trolley to the
Downtown Natchitoches starting at 6 PM. Everyone will be free to make
their own dinner arrangements on Saturday night. Plenty of places to
enjoy downtown.
Sunday
Group ride home will depart from Hotel at 8 am.
We will be stopping for a hamburger in Jefferson, TX.
