| Tom has us confirmed for a tour
of The Melrose Plantation on Saturday April 5th. The cost of the tour is
listed below. We will have a tour guide, possibly 2 depending on the number
of people we have. Tom has scheduled Lunch at a B&B just down the river
from the Plantation. Melrose recommended this. The B&B is called "Creole
Rose". They prepare Cajun/Creole food. The cost is listed below. She
has a patio overlooking the river if the weather permits. If indoors she
can accommodate around 40 people. She has us and only us reserved for that
day. Both the Plantation & the B&B are flexible to our schedule.
The plantation will open at 11:30 and start our tour before the doors are
open to the public. We will start the plantation tour @ 11:30 and have lunch
afterwards. We could also arrive before 11:30 and visit the Historic San
Augustine Catholic church just prior to the plantation tour. All of three
of these are very close to each other.
We have arranged shuttle service to and from the festivities in town. We have already made the financial committment with the shuttle service and would greatly appreciate it if you would use their services. We understand that everyone won't be able to participate on the shuttle service and that's ok too. However, if the one's that can participate, would, it will help us out. We feel the shuttle service is an enhanced dimension and hope to continue this offer in years to come.
