We would like to meet and see who might be interested in this ride for 2012. Topics to be discussed:

• What time of the year should we travel to Italy?
• Should we ship our bikes?
• How long should the trip be (I am thinking two weeks)?
• If we don't ship our own bikes, will we take a full escorted tour or rent bikes and self guide?
• If so, what service will we use for bikes/tour?
• Or, do we want to make contact with another club in Italy and see if we can get some ideas on bike rentals, etc?
• What do we want to see in Italy? Are we going to northern Italy, southern Italy, all around Italy?
• What additional information do we need in order to be safe in Italy? Do they drive on the correct side of the road? Should we expect cattle/sheep/horses in the road? Do we have to convert money? Is Visa accepted? Will cold weather gear be necessary? Do we have to ship our riding gear? If so, to where? What hotels do we require (expensive, moderate, el cheapo)? Cell Phones, radios?
• How much money is all this going to cost us?
• What paperwork is required in order to travel to Italy?
• Do we have to have any shots/immunizations, etc.?
• Who can help on the detailed planning?
