Friday
1. Departure point in
Forney:
Alfredo's Steakhouse (Forney Cafe on MapSource) - SE corner of FM740 and US 80
- on south service road. They open at 7:00 AM for breakfast. We'll depart at
8:30 AM.
2. Gas stop in Palestine followed by Lunch at Ryan's.
3. Gas stop in Nacogdoches.
4. Arrive Natchitoches
5. Friday Night Dinner (6:30 departure from Hotel) at Crawfish Hole. Trolley Service Friday Night from Quality Inn to Crawfish Hole
Saturday
1. Ride to Fred's Lounge in Mamou to experience some real Cajun music
and dancing. Those who have already seen Fred's will go on to Eunice
instead
to visit the Prairie
Acadian Cultural Center
2. Lunch at Nick's on 2nd Street - two short blocks from the Acadian Cultural Center
3. Ride back towards Natchitoches and stop at the Magnolia Plantation for a guided tour.
4. Freshen up at motel and catch the trolley to the Jazz
Festival starting at 5 PM. Everyone will be free
to make their own dinner arrangements on Saturday night. Plenty of places
downtown.
Sunday
Group ride home will depart from Hotel at 8 am.
There will also be an alternate choice for riding down to Natchitoches, as well as a Saturday & Sunday ride. It will be with Mark Jensen and the route will be posted here later. This ride will be at a more spirited/sporty pace. Contact mark@markwjensen.com if you need some more details.
